This art piece is one of my most favorite that I have created in a very long time. I plan to enlarge her BIG on canvas for our home.
She is truly gorgeous in person. Painted using watercolor layers, acrylics on heavy watercolor paper. Graphite pencil, white inks, oil pastels.
She has strong wings of cheesecloth stained with rusted bits and stitched with a rust color thread. The layers are so cool in this piece.
The square image is mounted on torn vintage inside covers from a book. I adore the interiors of book spines so I gently wash them and pull apart. I feel my art tells stories of strength in tender forms. I like that.
She will be one of your most favorite pieces I just have a feeling.
