Talavera-style pottery (often called Mexican majolica) Small Plate and Bowl

$35.00

Hand-painted floral motifs that feel both loose and rhythmic

Slight irregularities in shape and brushwork (a signature of handmade work)

This style traces back to the 1500s when Spanish artisans brought tin-glazed pottery techniques to Mexico,

especially around Puebla.

Bowl Measures 5” round by 2” deep
Plate Measures 5” round by 1’ deep

These are in wonderful condition. The cobalt blue is gorgeous on the milky white glaze background.
These are cherished more for artistry than rarity.

They’re not factory-perfect, and that’s their magic.
Each brushstroke is a tiny improvisation, like a jazz note that refused to stay inside the lines!

They have been on shelves with my other Mexican treasures.
